So we were regularly attending the playgroup twice a week with the hopes that eventually Hopper would interact with the other kids. There was exactly 1 day that he did and I happened to have the camera which was great. But the evolution stopped there. Our attendance petered out over the last few weeks as there were other places I wanted to take him on nice sunny days, and since he didn't really make any proper friends other than Ira, who is totally off on his 1 year old way, we said our goodbyes at the Halloween party last week. The group leader gave us a little parting gift of a photo of the class attached to his attendance roster, which we unfortunately weren't there for, but the heart felt message was heard loud and clear. Such lovely folks.
And no, I was not able to get Hopper into a Halloween costume. I have high hopes that next year he will understand that's it's fun and get into it. For now, he's a bit like a cat in a dress, off in 3 seconds flat.
